A More Advanced, Tissue-Preserving Enhancement

Preservé is a breast enhancement technique designed to preserve natural breast tissue and maintain inner support structures for enhanced implant stability and long-term results, all with smaller scars and a fast post-procedure recovery.

Aesthetx is proud to be among the first practices in the U.S. to offer Preservé, with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Kamakshi Zeidler leading the way as the first in the San Francisco Bay Area to practice this groundbreaking technique.

Preservé™ in San Jose, CA

Preservé combines a less invasive surgical approach with specialized tools to create a precise implant pocket that respects and preserves your native breast tissues and their functionality. It’s designed to conserve inner support structures of the breast and chest muscles while achieving your desired volume and shape.

The technique uses Motiva® instruments (a Channel Separator and an Inflatable Balloon) to gently separate tissues and form a precise pocket matched to the planned implant, rather than cutting through supportive structures, helping minimize inflammation and support smaller incisions and scars.

Paired with Motiva SmoothSilk® Ergonomix® implants, which adapt from a round shape lying down to a teardrop shape standing, Preservé aims to mimic the look, feel, and movement of natural breasts while allowing insertion through a small incision.

What’s the Difference Between Preservé™ and Traditional Augmentation?

Both Preservé and standard augmentation increase breast volume with implants. The distinction is how the pocket is created and how much of your natural breast tissue and inner support structures are preserved. Preservé is designed to be less invasive, conserving functional tissue and the chest muscles while shaping a precise pocket.

This tissue-sparing approach is designed to maintain nipple sensation and natural breast function while supporting long-term implant stability. In clinical data from Motiva markets outside the U.S., Preservé reported 0% inferior malposition at 3 years when used with the Motiva tools and Ergonomix® implants.

Scarring is designed to be smaller because the technique is performed through a small inframammary incision with tools that gently separate tissue rather than cutting through supportive structures.

Anesthesia needs are minimal by design, and the approach supports a fast post-procedure recovery for appropriately selected patients. Individual experiences vary.

Both traditional breast augmentation and Preservé achieve beautiful results. The difference is in the experience: while the standard technique is reliable and time-tested, Preservé is designed to elevate the process, like upgrading from economy to first class, with extra comfort, refinement, and ease along the way.

Why Choose Preservé™?

Preservé is designed for primary breast augmentation to increase breast volume and enhance shape with a tissue-preserving approach. It can also be used in primary augmentation mastopexy (augmentation + lift) when indicated. With Dr. Zeidler’s extensive complex breast experience, there are select revision cases which this technology can also be used.

Because the pocket is tailored to your anatomy, many patients can achieve their desired outcome with smaller implants while emphasizing breast shaping and upper-pole balance for a refined, custom look.

Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Preservé™?

As a less invasive technique, candidacy depends on your anatomy, goals, and medical history. Ideal candidates often want enhanced shape and volume while preserving native breast tissue, function, and sensation. Preservé is especially ideal for the modern woman who wants meaningful results without disrupting her busy lifestyle, whether that means returning to work, staying active, or keeping up with family life.

These factors may indicate good candidacy:

  • Seeking primary breast augmentation, augmentation with a lift, or a breast reduction with enhanced shape and fullness
  • In overall good health and a non-smoker (or willing to stop pre-op)
  • No active infection; no untreated breast cancer or pre-cancer; not pregnant or nursing
  • Realistic expectations and willingness to follow pre-/post-op guidance

Based on your consultation, we’ll confirm if Preservé or a standard technique best fits your goals.

What to Expect During a Preservé™ Procedure?

Your surgeon takes precise breast measurements and plans a less invasive, tissue-preserving approach tailored to your anatomy and desired outcome.

Step 1:

Your surgeon will take precise measurements to customize the procedure to your anatomy. This less invasive approach preserves your natural breast structures while using an implant designed to achieve your desired volume.

Step 2:

After numbing the area, your surgeon will create a small incision in the inframammary fold (the crease under your breast) and use the Motiva® Channel Separator to create a tunnel without cutting the tissue. This provides access to the space where your breast implant will live.

Step 3:

Next your surgeon will insert the Motiva® Inflatable Balloon tool to gradually push your tissue structures aside creating a precise pocket that matches the size of your breast implant.

Step 4:

Finally, your implant will be inserted in the space that was created preserving your natural breast tissue functionality, including nipple sensation and your chest muscles.

How Long Is Recovery After Preservé™?

Preservé is designed to support a fast post-procedure recovery with minimal anesthesia, though recovery varies by patient. Most patients resume light activities quickly per their surgeon’s guidance.

Because the inner support structures are preserved and tissues are gently separated instead of cut, many patients experience low inflammation and less early discomfort compared to traditional approaches. With Preservé, recovery is much quicker than traditional breast augmentation, roughly one-third of the usual time. Light cardio can typically be resumed after one week, and most patients are able to return to more intense workouts after two weeks, while keeping the incision protected.

Your Aesthetx team will provide a personalized recovery plan, including garment use, activity progression, and follow-ups to support optimal healing.
